Malmö 29 April – Gesture control is an intuitive, efficient and safe way of interacting while driving and set to be the future form of interaction in the automotive industry. Already today Crunchfish is making it possible for handset manufacturers and application providers to offer car mode functionality with gesture control in smartphones and tablets.

Keeping it simple to stay safe

As demonstrated in the movie – Safer driving with gesture controlled smartphones – Crunchfish solution focuses on the essential needs of the driver when on the road. With easy gestures the driver can control navigation, communication and music in a convenient and safe way. An open hand gesture lets the driver accept or reject calls, listen to text messages and adjust volume. The gesture is simple, affirmative and can be carried out without taking the eyes off the road. By reducing the steps needed to make feature selections and providing instant confirmation, visual distraction is minimized and the driver can focus on the traffic.

Making a difference for your users

All mobile devices with dedicated car mode and car mode related applications can have Crunchfish Touchless A3D® software for car mode integrated for safer driving. The solution is available and Crunchfish is currently working together with handset manufacturers to release the features on the market.
