Gesture Interaction

Malmö, 15 May 2015 – We take more than one million selfies every day. Just about everyone is taking them, from President Obama to NASA astronauts, not to mention all those celebrities. We get it, selfies are here to stay.

Lets shift focus from selfies to moments

Photos are the captured essence of our time. These still photos convey how we live, whom we interact with and what we value as important. They are the visual cues that we leave behind for further generations to make sense of the identity of our time. What do we want them to remember us by? A bunch of half cropped bodies?

Portray ourselves from our best angles

Let’s show the sides of us that matter. Perhaps it is not about the sharpness of our cheekbones, the attractiveness of our duck faces or how tight our abs are, but rather the people we are with. Let’s instead document our surroundings and the amazing things we create with the inspiring people that we meet.

Join the movement

At Crunchfish we are working hard to create groundbreaking technology that have an impact on how we interact with each other. We are proud to present technology that allows us to look up from our screens and experience moments as they are happening. Join us!

Step back to see the bigger picture
Context is everything. That is why we changed our algorithms to detect your gestures from 13 ft away. Take five steps back to explore how many people you can fit in a groupie or capture that expressive full-body outfit.

Brighten up
Daylight is the best light for photo capture. However we decided to tweak our detectors to function in dim lighting just in case you run into Elon Musk at a murky bar.

Extend your reach
We do not always want the company of a pro-photographer. Capture repetitive shots when perfecting that private photo solely meant for your girl friend.

Get messy
Our hands get sticky or wet at times. No need to touch the screen to capture yourself planting summer flowers with your bare hands or licking the dough of your fingers while baking.

Malmö, 30 April 2015 – Customers instantly fell in love with the sparkling Sugar Macaron. The possibility of capturing photos by using a simple Thumbs up gesture was a hit. For us at Crunchfish it is really encouraging to see users take advantage of the possibilities of touchless technology.

Malmö, 18 March 2015 – During four days, thousands of visitors at SXSW have had the opportunity to try Crunchfish’s new software technology, aBubbl™ and it has been a great success. With aBubbl we have created an intuitive and really fast solution for sharing content such as photos, profiles and links between iPhones and Android devices.

In TrySwedish collaborative photo booth our Touchless Camera has showed off a world-class representation of cutting-edge technology and digital creativity. Visitors were asked to step back from the screen to collaboratively capture a groupie together by showing three randomly drawn gestures simultaneously. Once captured, the photos were broadcasted to everyone within a few meters using Crunchfish’s technology aBubblTM.

“The aBubblTM technology is truly innovative in its capabilities of sharing photos and other content to people nearby cross OS. We are no longer restricted to only sharing with people using devices from the same manufacturer or operating system. By removing the need for compatible operating systems we open up huge opportunities for app developers and handset manufacturers to implement a solution that works for everyone.” says Essie Hamadani, Business Developer at Crunchfish Inc.
