Nasdaq First North-listed Crunchfish has signed a cooperation agreement with Chinese Nanjing RuiYue (Nibiru) Technology, software provider for AR and VR. The agreement refers to Crunchfish’s software for gesture control, which will be delivered as a pre-installed demo in Nibiru’s solutions.

Nibiru will deliver solutions where Crunchfish’s software is included as part of the reference design. Crunchfish thereby strengthens the company’s position further as one of the leading suppliers of gesture control in the AR/VR market. In 2017, Crunchfish has entered into a number of strategic partnerships with global players in the AR/VR area, including Epson, Goertek, LLVision, ODG and Optinvent.

“Nibiru is particularly interesting as they are providing solutions to developers of both hardware and software. Since Crunchfish’s technology for gesture control is pre-installed in Nibiru’s solutions, it gives us exposure to a large customer group, “says Joakim Nydemark, CEO of Crunchfish.

“The agreement with Nibiru, together with previous AR/VR partnerships, means that Crunchfish builds a strong position in the market for gesture control within AR and VR. The chosen strategy to establish partnerships with leading players is central to being able to take part in market development as volumes grow.” Joakim Nydemark continues.

Nibiru is a Chinese software company founded in 2013 that delivers solutions to global developers of AR and VR products. Amongst the company’s partners are Microsoft, Baidu, Vuzix and Huawei.
