Crunchfish

Crunchfish launches new website showcasing its five solution areas

For too long, humans have adapted to technology, when of course it should be the other way around. For example, why are we dependent on the net when we pay? Why is it hard to communicate with the proximity? And why are we still touching screens? Changing this requires radical innovation and cutting-edge technology. The tech company Crunchfish does not let the technology set the limits, but rather adapts it to suit us humans. The new website clarifies these solutions.

With a rare combination of courage and technical know-how, Crunchfish addresses the challenges of today in several areas – Digital Cash, Blippit, Food Waste, Nearby and Gestures. The solution areas are clarified under separate tabs on the company’s new website, which is launched today.

With 38 innovations, of which 29 have already been granted patents, we never let technology dictate the conditions, but always adapt it to what suits humans best. Welcome to visit us at crunchfish.com.

Magnus Lageson @ Swish. Real-Time Pirate. 16/36.

On December 12, 2012 the major banks of Sweden launched Swish (Getswish AB) https://www.swish.nu/ as a novel real-time payment service. It has become a major success and with 80% penetration being a major explaination of why Sweden use less cash than any other country in the world.

Crunchfish AB has been a partner of Swish for two years. It all started by integrating the app terminal Blippit as bridge between Swish and retail POS and checkout products, exemplified here with an implementation https://lnkd.in/ekkbBXc with the leading Nordic supplier Extenda Retail.
Here Crunchfish’s CEO Joachim Samuelsson interviews Magnus Lageson, a key person behind the success of Swish with his multiple roles as Lead Product, Innovation & Partner manager. In addition to confirming the applicability of Crunchfish’s digital cash for Swish as a real-time payment service, the interview became a discussion on the importance of a challenger corporate culture and to remain lean by partnering. Swish is a prime example, being one of the best-known brands of Sweden and transferring millions of transactions a day, with a surprisingly small team of only 18 employees.

Joakim Nydemark. Gestures and Operations. 22/36.

Joakim Nydemark has two key roles at Crunchfish. He is the CEO of our subsidiary Crunchfish Gesture Insteraction AB, https://lnkd.in/ezhZ5Fb, but also COO at the group level of Crunchfish. In the latter capacity he has recently worked with our Digital Cash Partner strategy that we launched last week. https://lnkd.in/etMxX7G

In this interview we explore the extraordinary improvement in our gesture technology, packaged in our XR Skeleton product, that has happened in 2020. In spite of only using a single RGB camera sensor, the one in mobile phones, we are able to model three dimensions. Magic. https://lnkd.in/ed4UQru We also talk about how it is to work at Crunchfish in the COO role.

This is interview 22 of 36 in the second season – Cash goes digital, a payment pandemic – out Monday morning at 6 am CET / 10.30 am IST. https://lnkd.in/e5RHAYD

Patrik Lindeberg. Blippit and Boule. 23/36.

Customers prefer to pay using their mobiles. Creating secure and user friendly check-out experiences is key. This is where Blippit comes in as the world’s first app terminal that links payment apps to cash registers. It enables customers to check-out with a single blip and merchants to identify customers even before payment. Crunchfish.com/blippit

During 2020 Patrik Lindeberg focused on launching Blippit on the Swedish market. He established many of the necessary sales tools needed and established the partnership with www.extendaretail.com, the leading Nordic POS provider. 80% of the grocery sales in the Nordics passes through their cash registers. https://lnkd.in/gbFWpnh

Recently Patrik was promoted into a wider as CEO of Crunchfish Proximity. https://bit.ly/2MOE2Cb. In this interview Crunchfish CEO Joachim Samuelsson explore his work with Blippit in Sweden in 2020 and his feelings on stepping into the wider role as CEO. More importantly, in this interview they also agree on what is the score on the Boule courts after their many games during 2020.

Patrik Centellini @ TietoEVRY. Schemes and settlement. 15/36.

2021-01-15|

Crunchfish’s revolutionary digital cash solutions with its patent pending two-tier architecture, offline vs. online, may be integrated into all kinds of eWallets regardless of payment scheme – Card rail, Real-Time Payment or Central Bank Digital Currency, for the subsequent online settlement.
In this interview Patrik Centellini, an experienced payments consultant at TietoEVRY https://www.tietoevry.com/, reflects on why the timing is right for Crunchfish to promote this kind of solution.

In addition to all the insights on payments that Patrik brings, he also tell us also about his passion for Italian gelato naturale with his own business Caput Mundi (https://caputmundi.se/) in SoFo, Stockholm. Patrik selected our friends at Pej (https://pej.se/), to provide a payment solution at his gelateria.

Bengt Nilervall. Swedish Trade Federation. 14/36.

2021-01-13|

Bengt Nilervall is the payments expert of Svensk Handel https://www.svenskhandel.se/ since many years. He is working to promote innovation in the Swedish payments market as he believes this is the best way to provide Swedish merchants with better payment services at competitive rates. Bengt clearly understands the positive implications of providing cash in digital form as Crunchfish is suggesting. As Sweden is moving towards a society without cash it is important to quickly solve for a digital alternative that provides the robustness and redundancy that cash represents.

Bengt at the Swedish Trade Federation was co-producer of the webinar series The role of Swedish state in digital payments. He also participated in the first webinar as a panelist.
