Malmö 14 March  This year’s Mobile World Congress was bigger than ever, a great week with lots of interesting meetings and trend spotting. During four days our visitors could explore how touchless technology can bring smart and natural interaction to their daily lives.

Our showcases were a huge success with a nice combination of live products on the market, demos of usecases with 3D camera technology and our IoT demo showing gesture controlled light effects. The amount of Crunchfish visitors almost doubled from last year and it is really exciting to see such great interest in our use cases as well as touchless technology in general.

If you didn’t have the opportunity to visit us at the show, check out our video footage of our gesture controlled TV demo and our IoT lamp demo. Contact us at any time to learn more about how Crunchfish technologies redefine the way we interact with handsets and other devices.

Malmö, July 2 2015 – Crunchfish, a world leader in mobile touchless interaction, adds a new business unit focused on social proximity interaction and welcomes Anders Blomkvist, former CEO of Skånska Byggvaror, to its team of investors.

Crunchfish has invested into proximity solutions for over a year and has already eight pending patent ideas within this area, adding to an additional eight allowed patents within touchless interaction. This new share issue supports Crunchfish strategic decision to split the company into two technology business units, touchless interaction and the new social proximity unit aBubbl®, to increase focus in both areas.

aBubbl® is a social proximity technology that facilitates communication with people nearby, enabling users to discover, connect and share content without any previous connection. A patent pending idea focuses on music streaming, where an active user may discover other users nearby and automatically create a joint playlist based on everyone’s taste in music. The new aBubbl®unit will be led by Crunchfish founder and CTO Paul Cronholm and the Touchless unit by COO Carl Tönsgård.

“The possibilities we see for our aBubbl technology is extremely exciting and to meet the interest from the market we need to commit both financially and organisationally” said Joakim Nydemark, CEO at Crunchfish.

“We are very happy to welcome Anders Blomkvist on board for this journey as he brings valuable competence and experience in building successful companies”, said Joachim Samuelsson, Chairman of the Board.
